This is a one-box type minivan, utilizing electronic control four-wheel drive and active stability control. Powering the Delica D5 is a 2.4L DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine with MIVEC continuously variable valve timing mechanism. Steering wheel-based paddle shifting is also possible thanks to adoption of the INVECS-III continuously variable transmission. Higher trim models come equipped with 12 speakers, Rockford Fosgate Premium Surround Sound and a 7-inch wide display.
Some models are equipped with electric sliding doors, while others contain a large capacity glove box in front of the passenger's seat with heating and refrigeration functionality.
