Nissan's durable flagship 5 door off-roader, the Patrol GR, has been in production since 1998 as an attractively priced alternative to the Mitsubishi Shogun and Toyota Landcruiser. It comes equipped with a 3L Nissan Di direct injection engine with M-Fire combustion, turbocharger, intercooler and electronic fuel injection with notably low transmission noise. The engine is just a little torquey but features 5 speed manual transmission or optional electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission.
The exterior is a no-nonsense, heavy duty 4x4 design with chrome grilles, bumpers, and new paint colors both on the outside and interior trim. Safety features include electronically-operated rear anti-roll bar, giving maximum on-road stability combined with maximum off-road suspension travel, for optimum traction and comfort.
