Experience the peak of luxury in the Nissan Cima. The Cima is a luxury sedan first released in 1988 and named after the Spanish word for "summit." The first generation of Cimas arrived with a massive 3.0L VG30DE V6 six-cylinder 197 hp engine along with a 252 hp turbocharged version, as well as genuine lacquer wood inserts and a choice of either Connolly leather or a silk-wool combination for its interior upholstery.
For the Cimas second (1991-1996) and third (1996-2001) generations, the base engine model is changed to a 4.1 L VH41DE V8 eight-cylinder, although the turbocharged engine of the first generation is still retained in certain trims. On the outside, a more "British" appearance is given to the second generation, and the facade of a performance car is given to its third. Fourth-generation (2001-2010) Cimas get either a 4.5L VK45DD V8 eight-cylinder engine or a 3.0L VG30DET turbocharged V6 six-cylinder engine, both of which make 276 hp. This generation also receives a design revamp and is known for its seven-reflector headlights.
More recently, in 2012, the fifth-generation Cima is revived as the longer version of the Fuga Hybrid. A 3.5L V6 302 hp hybrid VQ engine and 68 hp HM34 electric motor power this environmentally friendly Cima that also features Nissan's Intelligent Dual Clutch Control for better driving performance and fuel efficiency.
