The Passat CC (Comfort Coupe), now known as the Volkswagen CC, is the German manufacturer's top-tier four-door car. As evident from its name, the Passat CC uses the executive Passat sedan as its base but runs lower and wider. “Tornado” character lines dynamically piercing across its sides in addition to a flowing roofline with loose curves make the Passat CC one elegant package. The 2011 model year, equipped with Brake Energy Regeneration, features the 2.0 TSI and the upper full-time 4WD trim V6 4MOTION in its lineup. The former runs on a 2.0L inline four-cylinder IC turbo engine for 208 hp, while the latter, a 3.6L V6 six-cylinder for 299 hp. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency is estimated at 11.8 and 10.2 km/l, respectively.
The 2011 model year Passat CC is equipped as standard with full-color multi-function indicator lights for extra visibility. Additionally, a “Front Assist” front monitoring system with city brake emergency function, which detects possible obstructions and brakes accordingly to avoid collisions, arrives standard on the 4MOTION (and optional for the 2.0 TSI).
