The XC90 is Volvo's luxury fulltime 4WD SUV. Not just its functionality and performance, but also its quality and design has made the car world renowned. It has received over 20 well-recognized awards in Europe and the US. Measuring in excess of 4.8m by 1.9m, its large 5 door body seats 7 passengers over 3 rows. Onboard the XC90 is either a 315 horsepower, 4.4L V8 DOHC engine, or a 238 horsepower, 3.2L series 6 DOHC unit, that are capable of achieving fuel economies of 6.4 and 7.8km/l, respectively. The XC90 allows for a sporty, manual-style drive thanks to its use of a 6 speed AT with Volvo's Geartronic. Pioneer models of the XC90 have also been awarded the rank of 'Excellent' for their low levels of emissions.
Across all variants, the XC90 comes fitted with an 8-way power seat for the driver's seat, Neptune 17-inch aluminum wheels, as well as XC90 exclusive off-black textile, artificial leather seats. Models from 2010 onward feature a larger, more eye catching Volvo emblem at the front, and come installed with side view cameras. Additionally, the front bumper air intake has been trimmed with chrome.
