The Toyota Corolla Spacio was first introduced in 1997. Its roomy interior can be easily reconfigured for transporting passengers or goods. The compact size minivan with 1600CC engine guarantees great driving experience. The second generation of the Toyota Corolla Spacio replaced the predecessor in 2001. It is a compact seven-seater minivan with three rows of seats which can be reconfigured to two rows for 5 passengers with a large luggage space at the back. There are two engine types which are 1800CC powerful engine or 1500cc fuel efficient engine.
The second generation of the Corolla Spacio came with improvements which included an auto leveling mechanism (as opposed to the manual halogen leveling lamp) to adjust the brightness of highlights when other cars are approaching.
In addition to the changeable seats, there is also a storage type bench for the third seat. Dual airbags, brake assist, ABS with EBD (electronic braking force distribution control), seat belt with pretensioner and force limiter are installed as safety features. As early as the year 2000, the Corolla Spacio achieved "ultra-low exhaust emissions level of 2000 standard emissions" was achieved in all vehicles under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's low emission vehicle certification system.
