Hyundai's luxury model, the Genesis, is as much at home on the street as a sedan as on the track in its sports coupe version. The 2012 Genesis retains its unique stylings of slick curves and a bold Z-line along the side of the Coupe, and the air of refinement on the Sedan.
The Sedan now comes with a 5.0L V8 429 hp engine in addition to the 3.8L V6 cylinder 333 hp and 4.6L V8 cylinder 385 hp engine units mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission. The Coupe version on the other hand comes in four and six cylinder variants - the four-cylinder model Coupe 2.0T makes use of Hyundai's 2.0L turbocharged engine that produces 210hp, while the six-cylinder model Coupe 3.8 is equipped with a 3.8L V6 unit that outputs 306 hp. 6 speed manual comes as standard on both the engines of the Coupe, with 5AT available as option with the 2.0L, and 6AT available with the 3.8L. Standard features on the Genesis include power locks and windows, cruise control, a trip computer and stereo auxiliary jacks. For safety features, the 2012 Genesis comes standard with front, side, and curtain airbags, active head restraints on the front seats, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and electronic stability control with integrated traction control.
