The ML Class/M Class is a mid-sized luxury SUV produced by Mercedes-Benz until 2015, whereupon it was renamed as the GLE Class. The final edition, the 2015 ML Class, comes with a 3.5L 302 hp V6 six-cylinder engine on its standard model. Other engines for this model year include a 3.0L 329 hp twin-turbocharged V6 six-cylinder for the ML400, a twin-turbocharged diesel 2.1L 200 hp inline four-cylinder for the ML 250 BlueTEC, and a 5.5L 518 hp V8 eight-cylinder unit for the ML63 AMG. Fuel efficiency ranges from 7.6 to 12.5 km/l. This wide range of engine variations is an upgrade from older model years, such as the 2012, which offers either a 3.0L 254 hp V6 six-cylinder turbo diesel on the ML 350 BlueTEC, a 3.5L 302 hp V6 six-cylinder on the ML 350 4Matic, or a 5.5L 518 hp V8 eight-cylinder twin turbo on the ML 63 AMG.

The 2015 ML Class receives standard features such as power heated front seats, MB-Tex vinyl seating surfaces, and a power liftgate. For safety, Attention Assist, driver and passenger front and side airbags, driver's knee air bag, and side curtain air bags for both rows are standard.
