The Hyundai Grand Starex is the Korean automobile manufacturer's popular light commercial 4-door van first released in 1997 as the Starex, and is currently in its second generation. Produced under the name JAC Refine in China, the first generation Grand Starex received multiple awards such as "Year's MPV" and "The Best Official Car" from 2004 to 2008. In 2007, it was chosen as "The Best MPV" and "The Best MPV for Government."
The current 2019 generation of the Grand Starex (available as either a 3/5 seater door van or 11/12 seater wagon) saw upgrades in design and available engines. The body is now larger with a more modern bold front grille and less square headlights. The Grand Starex is powered by a highly efficient and environmentally friendly 2.5L inline four-cylinder CRDi diesel engine mated to a 6 speed manual transmission or 5 speed auto transmission, achieving fuel efficiencies of 8.0 to 11.3 km/l (depending on configuration). Wagon types are available in 4WD. The interior of Grand Starex is spacious and customizable - its long sliding seats make way for room for more cargo when necessary. Safety features include front row front and side airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking assist and many more.
