The 2006 Toyota Allion is a member of the model's first (T240; 2001–2007) generation, with the model code CBA-NZT240 and an average fuel economy of 13km/l to 16.4km/l. Under the bonnet you will find a range of fuel efficient four-cylinder, DOHC VVT-i, 1.9 L of 109 horsepower, 1.8L of 132 horsepower or 125 horsepower engines. In addition to being practical, the Allion is also sporty and fun to drive. All Allion engines are inline 4-cylinder with DOHC VVT-i, with three displacement grades--a 109 horsepower 1.5L A15 model ,choice of 132 or 125 horsepower 1.8L A18 model, and a 155 horsepower 2L direct injection A20 model. The 1.8L also has a full-time 4WD system that works to cover rotation differences between front and rear wheels. The A18 and A15 G package is equipped with CD player and Optitron speedometer, while the A20 and A18 add 15 inch aluminum wheels and discharge headlights, along with the S system's genuine leather console. There is an additional "standard business" package of features focused on providing just enough amenities without overly complicating the interior. All versions are floor-shift automatic transmissions, 4-speed for the A15 and A18 and a continuous variable transmission for the A20. This year also includes the special-edition 60 year anniversary model, commemorating 60 years since the company's channel establishment. These beautiful details include a smoke-like front grille, plated outside door handle and door belt molding, woodgrain and leather-wrapped three spoke steering wheel and UV-cut privacy glass.
