The Toyota Caldina was first introduced as a station wagon in 1992. The design changed with the 2002 model inspired by the words "vibrant clarity" which resulted in a bullet-shaped design. The inline-four engine delivers enough power for your daily trips. Both manual and automatics transmission are available, however, the manual transmission is only available up through the 2002 model. Select the FF (Front Wheel Drive, Front Engine) option or the Four Wheel Drive if you're looking for more acceleration and improved turning.
The third-generation Caldina is has a 2700 mm long wheelbase on a 1740 mm wide body. With this minor change, the exterior has changed the design of the front headlamp, grill, spoiler, bumper, and the rear combination lamp, newly designed 17-inch and 15-inch aluminum wheels and back door, all of which are stylish while retaining the sporty feel of the Caldina. The drive system is 2 kinds of full-time 4WD and FF. The engine lineup includes three in-line 4-cylinder DOHCs, a 260-horsepower premium gasoline 2L turbo, and a 152-horsepower VVT-i (continuously variable valve timing mechanism) with direct injection D-4 2L, 132-horsepower VVT-i With 1.8 L.
As for grade development, the 2L turbo is 4WD, 2L is V Flex 4WD and FF, the 1.8L is only FF with "1.8Z" and "1.8X". Furthermore, by making the exhaust gas cleaner, vehicles equipped with the 2.0 L direct injection and 1.8 L engine have acquired the "2005 standard emission gas 50% reduction level" low emission vehicle certification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
For all vehicles, dual airbags and driver's seat knee airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, seat belt with force limiter and pretensioner are standard safety equipment. The GT-FOUR system is also equipped with an anti-theft engine immobilizer.
