First produced in 2001, the world's best-selling sedan, the Toyota Corolla Altis, was released in tandem with the 9th generation Toyota Corolla, and sold in the ASEAN, Indian and Taiwanese markets as a slightly longer and wider version of the Corolla for overseas customers. Its most recent generation (for model years 2018 to 2020) is offered with a choice of two engines with dual VVT-i technology - a naturally aspirated 2.0L inline four-cylinder that makes 143 hp in its top trim (the 2.0V) and a 1.8L inline four-cylinder for an output of 137 hp. Both engines arrive mated to a CVT and utilize a FF configuration. Fuel consumption is rated at an estimated 13.0 km/l.
