The Tundra pick-up based Sequoia was first produced in 2000 with a 4.7L 240 hp V8 eight-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions. Now in its second generation, the Sequoia comes with a 5.7L V8 eight-cylinder 381 hp engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission in rear-wheel drive as standard (optional 4WD). Fuel efficiency is estimated at 6.4 km/l. Smaller 4.6L and 4.7L V8 engines can be found in 2010 – 2012 and 2008 – 2009 Sequoias, respectively.
