The more recent models (KK-HZB40, KC-HDB51 etc.) seat between 26-30 passengers making the COASTER a popular choice in Japan as school/small town buses. Some are even available with wheelchair conversions (U-HZB50 ‘WELCAB’). Similar to most other vehicles in this class, diesel engine versions are the most common with the automatic transmission option being the preferred choice of gearbox (although a manual is available - KC-BB40).
