About 2008 TOYOTA Regiusace Van

The Toyota RegiusAce line-up is almost indistinguishable from the HiAce with which it shares its platform. Besides the fact that the RegiusAce was released as a luxury-oriented version of the HiAce, one prominent noticeable difference is that the RegiusAce is predominantly available as a van (3 seats) configuration with a maximum seating capacity of 9 whilst the HiAce can seat up to 15. Similar to the HiAce, the RegiusAce van is available with various engine/drivetrain options including a 2980cc diesel with 4WD and automatic transmission (ADF-KDH206K), great for longer drives, and a powerful 2000cc petrol engine (CBF-TRH200V) perfect for running errands in urban areas.

During its second generation, which began in the mid-2000s, the RegiusAce, received some updates to its style. This generation is still currently in production and the vehicles are equipped with a choice of either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The style changes to the RegiusAce in its second generation included the change of the gearshift lever's location. It was included into the instrument panel with the idea being that the driver (or the person in the passenger's seat, if needed) could access the rear of the RegiusAce van from inside the vehicle.
