The Supra is Toyota's sports grand tourer. Though initially heavily based off of the Celica, the Supra eventually became its own model and has gone on to outlive its predecessor with its fifth generation being released in 2019. Over the years, the Supra has proven itself in the world of motorsport time and time again, including at the All-Japan GT championships.
For its third-generation 1989 model year, the styling of the Supra is reminiscent of American sports cars with its long nose and short trunk. This model year receives an option of four inline six-cylinder engines: 3.0L 237 hp DOHC turbo, 2.0L 207 hp DOHC twin-turbo, 2.0L 148 hp DOHC, and 2.0L 133 hp.
Moving forward more than a decade to the 2001 model year, the Supra gets one of two powerful units: a 3.0L 276 hp inline six-cylinder DOHC two-way twin-turbo engine or a 3.0L 222 hp naturally aspirated inline six-cylinder engine.
Launched in 2019, the fifth-generation Supra is a collaboration between Toyota and BMW. This model year features the choice of a 3.0L inline six-cylinder B58 engine and a 2.0L inline four-cylinder B48 engine. The engines come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
