The Honda Civic Ferio was born under the concept of "Smart Compact" with the shaped short-nose and big cabin body construction. Two types of engines are 1.5-Liter in-line-four SOHC (Single Overhead Cam) gasoline (CBA-ES1) with 105ps/13.8kgm and 1.7-Liter in-line-four SOHC gasoline (CBA-ES3) 130ps/15.8kgm. The transmissions are 4-speed AT with lock-up function or 5-speed manual with drive trains FF (Front Wheel Front Drive) or 4WD (Four Wheel Drive). The suspensions are MacPherson strut in front and Double wishbone in rear. Safety devices are dual airbags and ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) function.
