The Stream is an excellent combination of utility and comfort. Don't be fooled by its compact design. Its roomy interior can seat up to 7 passengers. It also has a low floor design which gives it a low center of gravity. This makes the car feel like you're driving a sedan while being powered by an inline-four engine. You can pick 4WD for more acceleration while 2WD will give you lower fuel consumption.
Older iterations of the Stream are available in 2 engine types – the 2L I-VTEC DOHC, and the 1.7L VTEC SOHC. In the I-VTEC models, the maximum output depends on the drive system of 154PS/6500rpm for FF and 158PS/6500rpm for 4WD. In the 1.7L VTEC models, the maximum output remains at 130PS/6300rpm. Versions from 2006 onward are available in 2L and 1.8L I-VTEC engine sizes. The 2L I-VTEC models and FF models utilize CVT, while the 1.8L models are paired with a 5 speed auto-transmission. Depending on the model, the Stream achieves a fuel efficiencies from 13.0km/l to 15.0km/l. As for safety features, all models come standard with dual airbags, ABS with electronic brake force distributions, load limiter, and seatbelt with pretensioner.
