The Jeep Commander sees an upgrade of its larger sized V8 engines to a 4.7L 305 hp (in 2008 and 2009) and a 5.7L 360 hp (in 2009 and 2010). All engines come joined to a five-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4WD. Combined fuel efficiency is estimated at 6.3 to 6.8 km/l.
