The NISSAN CIVILIAN BUS is a purpose built bus capable of carrying around 30 passengers. As the name suggests, it’s a commercial vehicle that’s typically used in Japan as a school or tourist bus. Given the size of the vehicle, most models are equipped with a 4000cc+ diesel engine (KK-BVW41) although a petrol option is available (UD-DVW41). For the drivetrain, models are typically rear wheel drive offered with a choice of either manual or automatic transmissions.
Nissan's dependable line of Civilian Buses typically come with the simple but essential features such as air conditioning and heating, as well as a rear defroster and power A/T for better driving in snowy conditions. Enjoy a comfortable ride in well-padded cloth seats, and relaxing during your multi-passenger commute.
Over its many years of being on the market, the Civilian Bus has seen many upgrades and minor improvements, such as fuel tank capacity, body color selection and equipment that began to be included as standard. For example, many safety features including ABS were added as standard in the early 2000s and the exhaust emissions level was reduced by 75% around the same time. The Civilian bus has also seen engine improvements over its various generations and models and more conveniences added in the interiors depending on the year of production.
