The Nissan Skyline is a sport compact that has become famous around the world. It is available in coupe and sedan form, as well as rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. The top of the line GT-R is the Skyline of choice, due to its raw power and supercar status.
The coupe comes with a 3.5-liter engine and 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. The sedan with its 3.5L engine has an eight-speed manual mode of Extroid CVT (continuously variable transmission) and has a paddle shift that allows a shift change without releasing the steering wheel.
In the mid-2000s, the Skyline's coupe version received some minor changes. In terms of the exterior, the design of the headlamps, front bumpers, rear combination lamps, etc. were changed to create a more sporty and high-quality look. The interior was enhanced with more texture and comfort, such as the addition of stitches to the door armrest, pearl suede and leather combination seats, and plasma cluster ion full auto air conditioner as standard across all models. The suspension uses a popular dual flow pass shock absorber to improve ride comfort and corner stability. As part of the improvement of the sedan, a coupe-like high-performance air conditioner was installed on all cars, and the intelligent key and engine immobilizer installed in the 2.5 L models.
One may not typically associate trunk space with the Nissan Skyline, but this sporty ride's 500L capacity places it at the top of its class, thanks to rear foldable seating. Over time, fuel economy performance was improved with the downsizing of the engine displacement in some models. If eco-friendliness is a concern, all grades of the Skyline boast reduced emissions of harmful gases.
