While both adopt a 3 number body of 1745 mm, it has the best driving management with a minimum turning radius of 5.2 m. Responding to market demands while further strengthening areas such as highly regarded interior and exterior design, comfort, and drivability. With an increase in body size, it can seat 4-5 people easily. This five-door hatchback sedan is powered by an inline-four engine. Choose between automatic, manual (for models from 2003 to 2009 and 2013 onwards), and CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) for models from 2009 to 2013 if you're aiming for better fuel economy. You can also choose from 2WD and 4WD, depending on your driving style.
In addition to the hatchback style, the Axela Sport also comes in a 4-door sedan variation, as well as a Mazda Speed Accelera that boasts a 2.3L turbo engine. This sporty little ride features "i-STOP" technology, an idling stop mechanism meant to help reduce fuel consumption. Many Axela model grades, including the 15S, 15C and 20E help you keep track of fuel-efficient driving with an ecological gauge. Other methods of maximizing fuel economy include the implementation of 15-inch low rolling resistance tires, as well as a newly designed front grill for aerodynamic performance.
