The iconic Ford Mustang is THE classic American specialty car. In the Mustang lineup are the V8 GT Convertible Premium and the V8 GT Coupe Premium installed with a 5L V8 DOHC engine, and the V6 Coupe Premium with a 3.7L V6 DOHC unit. Both units utilize an intake-outtake twin independent valve timing mechanism that improves fuel consumption and gives an extra boost to the engine, allowing the V8 and V6 models to produce 426 and 309Hp, respectively. The engines of the Mustang are mated with a 6 speed automatic transmission, with all models featuring power steering and Electric Power Assist Steering that reduces engine burden while driving. All models use a FR configuration. The Mustang achieves fuel efficiencies from 11.0 to 13.2 km/l.
Changes have also been made on recent models such as an improvement of body rigidity, enlargement of the brake disk rotor, the increase in diameter of the stabilizer and so on. Additionally, the engine of the V8 comes installed with a tower bar as standard. The V8 model features 19 inch wheels, while the V6 that comes with rear spoiler as standard uses 18 inch wheels.
