The V40 is the smallest and most compact station wagon/estate car in VOLVO's line up. The concept behind the V40 was to pack as many of the features found in larger models into a smaller form factor. What makes the V40 particularly attractive - over its competitors in the same class - are the comparatively powerful engines on offer (GH-4B4204W, E-4B4204W etc.). The base model is equipped with an 1800cc inline 4 cylinder engine with VVT rated at around 122 horsepower. The top tier turbo charged 1900cc version outputs around 200 horsepower!
